Christmas themes in showrooms

englishtapwareHaving lived in Sydney my whole life, one of the highlights at Christmastime is the trek into the city to behold the wonder that is the David Jones Christmas window displays. I don’t get to go every year, but I’m a bit of a sucker for a traditional bit of Christmas glitz and glamour, and I always enjoy seeing what the talented window dressers have come up with each year.

I must admit, I hadn’t given much thought to whether showrooms in our industry would do a take on a Christmas theme for their front windows but, on reflection, I say “why not?”.

Into my inbox today popped these gorgeous images from The English Tapware Company’s Woollahra showroom. The window display is a collaborative affair with Georgia Boyd, a local Sydney stylist.

englishtapware 1Launching the new satin brass Perrin & Rowe tapware finish and the new brass Pendant45 light from David Moreland Design, the window is a refreshing departure from a typical Christmas display. A hand-crafted Greg Hatton tree stands behind a stunning rustic trestle by Elements i love, and kitchenette by Hecker Guthrie. The neutral colour palette and organic elements, including feather wreaths and baskets of pine cones, give the window a simple Scandinavian feel.

What do you think of the idea of getting into the festive spirit in your own showrooms? Do you or don’t you? If you do, we’d love to see the results of your efforts so send your images through!
