Our love of open plan design means sometimes a great room divider is needed to create a soft border between adjoining space or add an element of privacy where needed. Here’s a great product from Touch Wood Trading that could do the trick.
Perfect for any open plan bathroom/bedroom, kitchen/living area or dining/living room, these freestanding room dividers can be used to delineate between two spaces or simply add visual interest in terms of a back drop. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, the Latte Poles are imported from South Africa but utilise an Australian hardwood – Eucalyptus grandis, also known as Rose gum or Flooded gum.
Sustainable and durable, Touch Wood’s Latte Poles are grown in farms rigorously monitored and provide many communities with an opportunity for fair trade on the international market. The tree farms are registered and overseen by the international not-for-profit Forest Stewardship Council.
The poles have a beautifully long, straight grain and come in a choice of thicknesses and lengths in a palette of white creams through soft greys to light rose. They are resistant to insect attack, mould and weathering so are both low maintenance and very easy to install – they won’t canker or split when screwed or nailed, neither are they prone to warping.
Sizes for the Latte Poles vary from 25mm to 150mm diameter and lengths up to about four metres.
