Egger’s stand at this year’s Interzum was a ‘wow’ of colours and textures encased in a large, curved-wall structure to show off its new products. PerfectSense is Egger’s range of melamine-faced boards with options in high gloss (PerfectSense Gloss) and no-fingerprint matt (PerfectSense Matt).
Egger has developed its own special coating process with UV technology, an innovative method that elevates surfaces to a visual and tactile level that was previously reserved only for high-end surfaces. In this way, the company claims to provide the highest-quality surfaces at an “economically interesting” price.
The 2015 Zoom retail collection will be updated in September with six decors in the PerfectSense Gloss and include a Chilli Red as well as a Premium White, Alabaster (beige), Pearl Grey and Black. In addition, a woodgrain decor is included in the PremiumGloss range with a Macassar also available.
To contrast with the high gloss range, the PerfectSense Matt feels warm and silky with a relaxed look and feel. Thanks to Egger’s high-quality, innovative finish, the company can claim that the new surface will not show up any fingerprint marks.
The 2015 Zoom update in September will feature 7 decors to reflect the prevailing design trends. Two cooler greys are available (Light Grey and Dust Grey) as well as two warmer shades (Cashmere and Stone Grey). To match the high-gloss range, a Premium White and Black are also available. The company says the matt black option is perfect for testing the no-fingerprint feature.
