Minacciolo in London

Here we take a sneak peek into Italian kitchen company Minacciolo in London and the installation of its Minà and and Natural Skin kitchens in three apartments in Clitheroe Road, Clapham.

Located near the trendy bars and restaurants on Clapham High Street, the three apartments were renovated by London-based investment company CLPD investmentindesign.

The property, an early 20th-century Victorian building of over 170m² purchased at auction, was modernised to create elegant apartments spread across three floors. Two additional floors were also added, as well as a basement and a loft on the top floor, which extended the house to 250 m² and it was then split it into three apartments.

Apartment 1

On the ground floor there is an apartment with three bedrooms and a garden. Here, a Minacciolo kitchen was inserted by combining the collections Minà and Natural Skin. The black island Minà is characterized by a Cocciopesto countertop with regular tiles, fully customized according to the customer’s color requirements. On the opposite wall there is a Natural Skin kitchen in three-layer thermo-treated wood, with a pewtered steel countertop. A blend of technical and artistic materials recreates a very cozy but professional environment.

Minà and Natural Skin blend into one solution. This kitchen’s style perfectly reflects the eclectic and enterprising style of the hosts. Thermo-treated solid wood for Natural Skin and varnished matt HDF for Minà, a combination of matter and practicality.

Cocciopesto is a natural and extremely handcrafted material. Natural pigments between teal and cobalt blue are mixed with classic powdered earthenware pieces. All the appliances needed to recreate an extremely operative space. The fullness and emptiness and the alternation of different measures teases the eye and makes the wall composition cool and lively.

Apartment 2

The first floor is occupied by a two-room apartment with a bedroom and a balcony. The kitchen, which is part of the Natural Skin collection, has HDF-finished bases and columns covered in Fenix in the color gray and HDF wall units covered in light oak. The Wall Play paneling, of the same material as the wall units, allows practical and fun accessories to be added and closes the composition.

There is no space too small for a Natural Skin kitchen. Every space has been fully exploited responding perfectly to customer requirements: convenience and professionalism. The angular opening allows the quickest and easiest access to the kitchen’s inner spaces.

Fenix is the perfect material for those who require high performance and, at the same time, a warm and “soft” effect. A real oak finish has been chosen for the wall units and the Wall Play wooden paneling. The quartzite countertop perfectly matches the shades of gray of the kitchen. The sink in black matt agglomerate and the faucet in minimal black give character to the composition.

Apartment 3

The top floor apartment, with two bedrooms, has a wonderful terrace with a view and the kitchen is, once again, a Natural Skin by Minacciolo with HDF finish covered in oak for the bases and columns, and HDF-covered in white Fenix for the central island. The features of this Natural Skin are semi-professional burners for high performance and ample storage space.

The kitchen island and worktops are made of HFD covered with Fenix, while the wall composition is made of HDF covered with oak. Light, color, and desire to be together are precisely the characteristics of the landlord.
