The International Design & Architecture Awards were held in September 2016 and covered a range of interior and exterior design categories including bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, home cinemas and residences. Here’s a wrap up of all the award winners in each category.
Interior Design Awards
Bathroom winner: Annette Frommer Interior Design
Project Name: House on Ussishkin St.
Location: Jerusalem, Israel
Interior Design: Annette Frommer

The classically designed Master Bathroom achieves a balanced symbiosis with the various rooms in the rest of the house, which Annette designed in totality. The room is clad with striking book matched Statuario marble slabs. Their natural symmetry lending an elegant and artistic aspect to the space.
Bathroom over £100,000 winner: Kern Interior Design + Architecture
Project Name: Modern Classic Penthouse
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Interior Designers: Norbert E. Kern, S. Kober and V. Schlotthauer.
Architect: Norbert E. Kern
Use of crystals, mirrors and Art Deco designs are in abundance, as this project shimmers into the Awards. Fit for the likes of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers to twirl across the hard wood floor, the living space is vintage decadence brought to life in a new century.
Kitchen over £25,000 winner: Taylor Interiors
Project Name: Villa Arlet, Mallorca
Location: Andratx, Mallorca, Spain
Interior Designer: Taylor Interiors

The kitchen by Boffi is highly functional and stylish, fusing sleek finishes and a streamlined palette. The stainless steel worktop and central island complements the high glossy lacquer dove grey units.
Kitchen over £50,000 winner: Casa Forma London
Project Name: 1 Tower Bridge
The client requested Casa Forma to create an integrated kitchen décor that worked in direct harmony with the living and dining room areas. Being an open plan space, the kitchen had to be elegant yet functional with the ability for everything to be directly stored away so as to avoid the space feelings cluttered.
Kitchen over £100,000 winner: Design Intervention
Project Name: The Modern Chinoiserie House
Location: Singapore
Date Completed: January 2016
Interior Designer: Nikki Hunt
The designers combined copper, polished steel and gold tones for a thoroughly free and unique kitchen. They selected a vibrant blue, heavily veined granite for the island top. It provides a showstopping focal point and a visual anchor to the space.
