Shades by Marco Piva is a new collection of porcelain stoneware which is result of a collaboration between architect Marco Piva and Casalgrande Padana. The collection is a measured and elegant play of chromatic saturation and tonal contrasts which gives life to the ceramic material.
Shades by Marco Piva utilises the chromatic variations and contrasts to generate a range of innovative three-dimensional effects. The designer played with various processed and mixed media techniques including pencil, watercolours, tempera and acrylic to develop a new design for the tile surface.
With this range of designs, Marco Piva has left his elegant, artistic touch on products which are already known for their strong technical qualities. Casalgrande Padana’s production methods are renowned worldwide for their high quality results which transform ceramics and create the effect of depth and volume on a flat surface.
Shades by Marco Piva is available in Casalgrande Padana’s “Resina” collection in black, grey and tobacco shades.
