You know it’s going to be a show worth seeing when 142,000 people attend a seven-day kitchen fair in Cologne, Germany – in January! Completely booked out by exhibitors for the first time, and with a marked increase in international visitors, the show featured iconic brand names such as Almilmo, Hacker, Leicht and Dada among the nearly 200 exhibitors at the Koelnmesse show grounds.
In addition, heavyweight appliance manufacturers including Bosch, Miele Gaggenau and AEG took advantage of the large crowds with Roland Hagenbucher, CEO of Siemens saying “After the successful premiere two years ago, LivingKitchen 2013 has once again exceeded our expectations. If LivingKitchen is any indication of what kind of business year 2013 is going to be, we’ve got some successful months ahead of us.”
One of the favorites at the show was Warendorf, a German manufacturer since the early 70’s with distributors in more than 30 countries, which exhibited five stunning displays. Warendorf used LivingKitchen to release its new range – “Warendorf 16”. Interestingly (by Australian standards anyway) one of the most important features of this new range is “a reduction down to 4mm door gaps”.
