Regia is renown for making bathroom fittings out of some pretty different materials. One of the company’s main designers, Bruna Rapisara loves colour and experimenting with design (don’t we all!)
Probably her most famoust work to date has been the “Jolie” bath made from resin, in blues reds, oranges and lime greens, but recently her inspiration comes from old television sets!
This collection is named Tivù because it recalls the shape of the old televisions. It’s the new collection of shelves and stool produced by Regia – there are four versions available for the shelves, one for the stool. And additionally there is the possibility of having one side coloured in many different finishes. Made of Tecnoglass, (and before you ask, we cant find out what this is made of) Tivù is shaped like a closed ribbon. “Perfect for the use in the bathroom but also inside the shower as it is completely waterproof” – they say. It can be made in white matt or in bi-colour with all the standard colours of Regia’s furniture.
I like the imagination that has gone into this range, coupled with the historical reference to a 1960’s television. If you’ve designed something out of the ordinary, send us a picture as we’d love to feature it!
