Interzum preview: Suddekor

Top stripWith less than a month before the KBDi International Designer’s Tour heads to Interzum we decided it’s time to start sharing many of the previews hitting our inbox in anticipation of our visit.

For those who haven’t been before, Interzum is one of the largest trade fairs for suppliers to the furniture and interior fittings industries. This year the focus will be on three key areas – Materials & Nature, Function & Components, and Textile & Machinery.

So, what we’re going to see are the latest releases in fittings and fixtures, internal hardware, surfaces – both vertical and horizontal, handles and so much more. One exhibitor is surfaces specialist Süddekor who will be showcasing its newest design innovations for contemporary furniture design. Pictured here are four of the new designs.

Barents Oak

Barents Oak exudes a rustic warmth yet impresses as a special type of white oak. Its namesake is Willem Barents who discovered the Northeast passage in the 16th Century.

Edison Oak

Edison Oak pays homage to Thomas Edison who is known for his association with the invention of electrical lighting. Traditional elements here work hand in hand with the new and modern.

Pegasus Oak

Pegasus Oak is named for the winged horse of Greek mythology and successfully merges a robust visual dynamic with an elegance which would suit a range of home designs.
