A question for those who love design!

Blog - 1The Kitchen and Bathroom Blog is now entering its fifth month, and what a five months it has been! We have hit a few milestones along the way – 104 followers (and counting), more than 6,200 views in total, 101 posts and plenty of comments from visitors.

We started this blog because we were both repeatedly, and independently, asked to provide a daily forum – a conduit where information could be supplied and discussed within and around the wonderful world in which we live and work: design.

Blog - 2We think the most fulfilling, and yet the most challenging, element of design is figuring out whether you love it or not. As I wrote  in the last edition of the AWISA magazine, most contemporary art takes a while to mull over and figure it out. Here’s a classic example – a recent visit to a museum. The third time I went past an abstract piece of art (it was in the central part of the main arena) it started to resonate with me, and I actually got it!

Blog - 3So that takes me back to this blog. Do some things take a while to work for you as a reader? Do some things hit the mark immediately or is it a mix of both?

Naturally, we both log on to the blog at all times of the day to see how each story rates and, more often than not, struggle to comprehend why one day our hits are sky high and another day (with what we think is a cracking story) rates poorly by comparison. There’s seemingly no rhyme or reason to how a particular type of story rates!

So today’s blog is a question to you.

What type of stories spark your interest? What topics make you want more of the same? In providing you with some selections please remember we vigorously search for quality material and sometimes it’s not always available!

Here’s some topics we have covered:-

Materials
Unique design
Awards
Exhibitions and shows
Product releases
Company profiles
Appliances
Marketing material
Marketing analysis
Showroom launches
Training

We know its a Friday – but let us know what you want. It’s your opportunity to give us some objective feedback. If you like (or don’t like) the mix – tell us, we won’t bite!!

Over to you !!!!!
