We don’t see many radiators in Australia – unfortunately, as cold as it may feel sometimes our climate is still extremely moderate compared to many other parts of the world. But radiators are a large part of interior design in Europe and I love receiving new product information in this sector because I love the design aesthetic many manufacturers bring to such a functional item.
This radiator is no exception.
Shine, by Caleido, is (as described by the company) “a lively radiator designed to furnish and arouse feeling at the same time – a passion for aesthetic combined with rational choices”. Which I’m pretty sure means it looks pretty and does a good job as well.
In 2013 Caleido is celebrating its 20th anniversary and the company has decided to celebrate at the international bathroom event Cersaie, to be held in Bologna from 23-27 September this year. A limited edition Shine radiator will be released in a special Ral 9007 satin-anodised aluminium. Only 20 units will be available.
I particularly love the visual design of this unit – it very much mirrors the strong textured surfaces we saw at Interzum earlier this year and the company has obviously picked up on this design trend and applied it to its range. The colour of this particular unit is particularly attractive with the bright effect of the white light diffused by the LEDs in the clear methacrylate cover.
Each of the 20 units will be individually numbered.
