What makes a bath so relaxing and indulgent? Is it simply that we are all so time poor now that the idea of even considering investing our precious time on something so “me” centred becomes laughable?
My children are older now and showers are more the norm but when they were young they loved their baths. If time allowed, there would be splashing, playing, laughing and relaxing – and I’d normally have a hard time dragging them out before the water became too cold. As adults, I think we too easily forget how enjoyable something as simple as a long, hot bath can be. And our opportunities to rediscover this fact, particularly once you have children, become few and far between.
So, when I spotted these two baths in my press release folder it made me stop and think about the last time I took time to have a bath. Sadly, I will confess it was a while ago. So my next challenge is to find time in my busy life to have a bath – sometime soon! I’m hoping one of the baths featured here might make it into my next bathroom – only problem is I can’t decide which one I like best.
The Kohler Sok overflow bath is the ultimate in indulgence bathing with the continuous flow of water cascading over the sides of the unit creating an ‘infinity pool’ effect. Ultra deep, the bath has enough room for two (!!) while whirlpool options allow for thousands of tiny bubbles at varying intensities to massage and support the entire body.
The Kohler Escale BubbleMassage bath has a beautiful shape and form with its rounded base and squared-off top. Multiple air holes release tiny bubbles to gently (or firmly) massage and relax the bather. Simply divine.
So, go on…share. Do you indulge in a bath every now and again and what’s your pick of the two featured above?
