Smeg 6-Star Dishwasher

DWAFI315TBig news from Smeg with the release of Australia’s first 6-Star WELS rated dishwasher.

Raising the bar on water saving kitchen appliances, the 6-Star model joins the 16-minute model release earlier this year. The new dishwasher will wash and rinse a full load using less than 10-litres of water and features operational efficiencies such as quick time programmes, Aquatest wash technology, enersave energy efficiency.

maniglia_ 010The Normal Eco wash programme uses just 9.8 litres of water to wash a full 15 place settings – a cold pre-wash, full wash at 49°C, a rinse at 41°C followed by condenser drying. If the enersave option is selected this wash will end with a reduced temperature rinse – to save even more energy – while the door opens automatically at the end of the cycle to assist in drying.

maniglia_ 010A standout feature of these new dishwashers is the Flexi Duo Basket – a clever design that enables the top cutlery basket to split in two and one slide underneath the other. This means there is extra height available for extremely long-stemmed glasses. Other smart features include a 24-hour time-delay enabling users to take advantage of the cheapest power by using after midnight (at 42dBA it won’t wake anyone!) and Aquatest technology whereby the water is monitored to assess ‘dirt’ levels and the wash programme adjusted accordingly.

DWAI315XTThere are five wash programmes available – soak, normal ECO, ECO, intensive 65°C wash and Ultraclean (for those washes that are heavily soiled and require a higher level of sterilisation).

maniglia_ 010The Smeg 6-Star WELS dishwasher is available in a free-standing (DWA315) model (in fingerprint resistant stainless steel, black or white) and
a semi-integrated version (DWA1315XT). There are also 6-Star WELS underbench (DWAU315X) and fully integrated (DWAFI315T) models. All these dishwashers carry a 4-Star energy rating.

All Smeg dishwashers utilise the highly sophisticated and patented Orbital wash technology that features two spray arms that operate simultaneously in opposite directions to ensure water is evenly distributed throughout the inner cavity for a perfect wash.
