Caesarstone has added an impressive and unique feat to its growing list of accomplishments: world-leading shipyard company, Moonen Yachts (Holland) has utilised Caesarstone Concetto surfaces to adorn its largest and most luxurious super yacht.
Sofia made its debut at the international Monaco Yacht Show, where it was nominated in the interior design category thanks to the stunning work of renowned interior designers Marilyn de Vaal and Frank Pieterse of Art-line Studio.
The acclaimed designer duo chose Caesarstone Concetto surfaces for the yacht’s lounge area, which is designed with clean, elegant lines and exhibits various elements from the Concetto series. The resulting atmosphere is uniquely intimate, resembling an enclave of modern luxury.
One of the most striking elements in its distinctiveness and beauty is a custom-made seven metre pillar rising from the ground floor towards the yacht’s ceiling. The structured panel features Caesarstone’s Concetto White Quartz semi-precious gem collection, which is itself a piece of art. Another remarkable element is the exquisite bar area that incorporates the unique Concetto Petrified Wood Classic surface with an appearance of processed and compressed logs.
Sofia was custom built for one of Moonen’s repeat clients, with bespoke requirements. The yacht boasts of exceptional interiors and features a wide range of genuinely innovative technology. The vessel is 42m and is four storeys high. In May 2014, Sofia will take part in the World Super Yacht Awards in Amsterdam and compete for the title of best yacht in the super yacht category.
