Retro kitchen appliances – featuring smart and efficient 21st century technology – have for many years been virtually the sole domain of Italian appliance specialist Smeg. With a fan base that is rapidly growing it’s no surprise the company is launching a little sister to the recently released and much-loved Victoria 110cm upright cooker.
The Victoria 90, in a width of 90cm, delivers the same beautiful vintage aesthetics as the larger model but is specifically proportioned for those with smaller kitchens or smaller families. Again available in traditional panna or black enamel, this smaller version still offers multiple cooking options and a very generous capacity. It features two ovens – the main at lower left and a tall auxiliary at right – plus a separate electric static grill and a six burner gas hob.
Both ovens have a 68-litre capacity and side opening door, with the main offering thermoseal technology and six cooking functions including supercook, fan-forced and convection baking plus fan and static grill while the tall auxiliary oven has fan-forced baking plus a plate rack for warming.
A big plus for both ovens is they have the super smooth, easy-clean Ever-Clean enamel interiors – while the main oven also has Vapour Clean cleaning technology. The 41-litre capacity electric grill is fully variable with two grilling levels and again, Ever-Clean enamel.
A spacious gas cooktop features six burners, including an ultra-rapid wok burner at the front left, a rapid, two semi-rapids and two auxiliary burners under cast iron trivets.The Victoria 90cm TRA93 is available in black or panna enamel finish and retails for $6490.
