The innovative Milli Axon tap has secured one of the world’s most prestigious design awards – the iF Product Design Award 2014.
It’s the first time an Australian-designed tap has won an iF Product Design Award, affirming the stunning chrome and black basin mixer’s exceptional design and manufacture.
Since its inception in 1953, the iF Design Awards have been recognising outstanding design via the assessment of international expert juries. Manufacturers and designers working in product design, communication design and packaging design can submit their work in three disciplines. The iF Design Awards continue to be among the largest and most important international design awards and the iF label is a seal of quality design, recognised globally. The iF Design Awards receive hundreds of entries every year. Entrants are judged by 50 experts in design from all over the globe in 11 different categories.
Award-winning Melbourne designers Phoenix Tapware created the Milli Axon tap in response to a growing demand for statement pieces in the bathroom. The resulting product is both modern and striking, with an elegant cylindrical profile and contrasting finishes of matte black and chrome.
