I’m excited…I’m beyond excited. The first Eurocucina previews are starting to hit my inbox and I want to pack my bags and head over to Milan right now!
To whet your appetites somewhat, this is “Invisible” from Toncelli which will be launched at Eurocucina in Milan in April this year. A high tech kitchen, it is the epitome of glamour and beautiful aesthetics combined with top-of-the-line functionality.
Based on a idea from Studio Carlesi Design, this kitchen utilises carbon fibre – not as a finish for an already existing unit but as an integral part of the structure of the kitchen. The element is used for both the peninsula and hanging wall units. Carbon fibre is particularly resistant, both to heat and impact, and is extremely light as well as being resistant to chemicals.
“Invisible” also features a new varnishing system made from liquid metal which gives the wall units a sheen that is the perfect complement for the carbon fibre finish. A clean line and streamlined finish, thanks to an absence of grooves and handles, further emphasises the “invisible” nature of the design.
For the tech savvy, this new kitchen also features home automation systems including touch-screens with internet connections and an integrated sound system.
If this is an indication of what we’ll see when we hit Milan, it’s sure to be an interesting and eye-opening show. What do you think of the “Invisible” kitchen? Who else is coming to Milan?
