You may remember Cielo, the gorgeous Italian bathware company, released a collection “The Invention of Colour” last year which we covered on the blog here.
Now, in preparation for the numerous trade shows planned for this year, the company has added new styles and new tones to its range. These ceramic products feature an edgy, chromatic style that takes a classic colour scheme and adapts it for modern bathroom design. As a collection “Terra di Cielo” is the result of careful research by the company which has seen it successfully combine traditionalism with contemporary style.
The colours on offer reflect the best of nature with a scheme that ranges from cool sandy tones through to rich khaki hues. As such, the company feels it’s reacting to the needs of designers world-wide who are seeking new ways to incorporate nature within the home via natural elements and neutral tones. Powders, minerals and vegetable elements are used to create the rich depth of colour seen here.
Personally, I love it and I particularly see this type of colour scheme as being perfect for the inside/outside bathroom which draws on the outside vista to “paint” a picture inside the bathroom. We know from experience these hues are relaxing and grounding, making them perfect for use in the bathroom environment and particularly in a bathroom where we are seeking to create a relaxing haven.
