“Pop” is a revolutionary tap designed by Fabrizio Batoni for Zazzeri. It creatively combines straight lines with curves inside a clean, deceptively simple shape. To bring an additional depth to the design, the tap features both metal and silicon finishes in a playful mix of colours.
Zazzeri says “Pop” was designed with consumption and the environment in mind with special features that enhance energy and water savings.
I love the coloured, transparent silicon neck of this tap which I’m told can be twisted and bent, its colour changed or lit up in the dark to act as a nightlight. The softness of the spout makes it quite safe while the smooth finish is pleasing to the touch. The company says “Pop is innovative in structure and democratic in design, with models for washbasins, bidets, bathtubs and showers”.
Pop is made from brass and is available with chrome, brushed steel, or black and white lacquered finishes. The neck is available in the same finish as the body or with coloured silicon (as shown here). Colours available include smoky black, apple green, blueberry purple and apricot orange (is anyone else hungry?). The taps are fitted with aerators that deliver a mix of air and water which shapes the water stream and increases the perception of water pressure. The flow reducer limits water flow to a maximum of 4-litres per minute.
