Teuco, distributed nationally in Australia by Delsa, has recently been honoured with awards for two of its products. Its Seaside TO8 Hydroline bathtub won a 2014 Interior Innovation Award while the Milestone in Duralight pedestal basin won an Interior Innovation Award 2014 Selection.
Designed by Giovanna Talocci, the Seaside TO8 Hydroline bathtub features a variety of wellbeing functions which make the tub a sea of pleasure for the user. Concealed taps and water blade provide a sleek, clean finish reminiscent of a plunge pool. The product was selected by the German Design Council for its innovative design and, as a winner, the tub will be displayed at an exhibition held at IMM Cologne – one of the most important international furniture trade fairs.
While on display, the bathtub will be competing for the title of “Best of the Best” for 2014.
In addition to the accolade for the bathtub, Teuco was also recognised for its Milestone in Duralight pedestal wash basin. Milestone features a monolithic pedestal topped with a horizontal plane, designed by Carlo Colombo. As a winner in this category, Milestone was recognised for its top quality design.
Gorgeously simply in design, Milestone’s distinguishing feature is the bulk of the base which is offset by the thin horizontal plane which juts out into the room. This creates a dynamic aesthetic between thick and thin that enhances the linear aspect of the product and emphasises the nature of the Duralight material used to construct the product.
