Culinary Technology at its best

We have written previously about the impact that the new Victoria range from Smeg has had on the Australian kitchen landscape. Not one to sit on their laurels, Smeg has continued this foray by introducing a vintage aesthetic to these most sophisticated freestanding cookers and it has proved to be the perfect fit for the new Australian
kitchen.KSE9100X FRONT

Smeg launched the Victoria upright earlier last ear (2013) melding the
beautiful aesthetics of the 1920s iconic wood-fuelled stove with the very
latest in culinary technology. Comprising two electric ovens, separate grill, seven gas burners, teppanyaki plate and generous storage drawer – all with a gloss black or panna enamel exterior – they have proved as popular in inner city contemporary homes as in more rambling country style dwellings.KSE110AP9-TR4110AZ-LS

The brand has now completed the ensemble with the introduction of a
highly efficient 110cm wide rangehood, in a perfectly matching gloss black
or panna enamel, in two distinct designs. One is a traditional chimney hood style and the other a more linear, squared design – but both have a high performance motor, four speeds, electronic controls and two 20W halogen lights.

The KT110 (traditional chimney hood style) removes up to 760 cubic metres of air an hour while the KSE110 removes up to 665 cubic metres an hour. Both appliances have metal grease filters and automatic switch-off after 10 minutes. And while the motors of these rangehoods are extremely powerful they are both relatively quiet, even at full power. KSE9100X FRONT

The Victoria upright cooker plus the Victoria KSE110 and KT110 rangehoods are available nationally from specialist appliance retailers and some department stores. The KSE110, available in black or panna enamel
plus fingerprint resistant stainless steel, retails for $2490 while the KT110,
in black or panna enamel, retails for $2290. The latter model is also
available in a 90cm format at $2090.
