New tapware from CEA

UP_DOWN_13_lrThis gorgeous new range of tapware from CEA (Centro Energie Alternative) was displayed at the recent International Bathroom Exhibition and caught my eye because of the beautiful shapes and unusual forms it takes. Here’s a snapshot – visit the company’s website for lots more images and information.

CEA Bar
CEA Bar

Bar was designed by Natalino Malasorti and inspired by the timeless appeal of geometric shapes. The formality of the shape is contrasted with the flowing motion of the water with a new conception of the waterfall jet. Bar includes single and dual lever mixers fitted with hydroprogressive ceramic cartridges as well as removable aerators and flow limiters that restricts water use to 7-litres per minute. This not only saves on water but makes the very easy to clean.

CEA Ziqq
CEA Ziqq

Ziqq was designed by Mario Tessarollo and Daniela Lorato and reinterprets the triangular shape of the handles. Its design celebrates asymmetry while the variable section makes the tap aesthetically interesting. Ziqq is available in both satin and polished finishes while all items in the range are fitted with aerators and flow limiters to restrict water use to 5-litres per minute. The collection also includes a wide range of matching accessories. In the exclusvie Black Diamond finish, Ziqq was awarded the ADI Design Index 2013 Award.

CEA Giotto
CEA Giotto

Giotto is another range designed by Natalino Malasorti and it takes its inspiration from the pure form of the circle. The range is available in satin and polished finishes and expresses an aesthetic coherence and functionality with a wide range of mixers and accessories which all reflect the repeating circular shapes. Again, flow limiters and aerators restrict water usage to 5-litres per minute.

CEA Hydroplate
CEA Hydroplate

Hydroplate is an interesting design which is more suited to the European market than the Australian market as it is a flush plate with a roll-away water jet toilet cleaner or bidet spray concealed behind a push-to-open hatch. The water jet takes water directly from the cistern’s supply so there is no need for additional structural or plumbing work. This design, by Natalino Malasorti, has been patented by CEA Design and received the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Award 2013 “Best Loo” category as well as being selected for the German Design Award 2014.

CEA Innovo
CEA Innovo

Innovo features innovative CEA technology with its built-in parts having been privy to an industrial patent by CEA Design. This clever tap turns on by itself and reduced water flow to 2-litres per minute – an incredible saving in water use – for simple actions that require little water, such as brushing teeth. Designed by Natalino Malasorti, Innovo is a new product for 2014.

CEA Up & Down Tap
CEA Up & Down Tap

Up & Down Tap was born from the creative collaboration between Brazilian Studio MK27, founded by Marcio Kogan, and the technical expertise of CEA Design. A simple rotation movement of the spout allows the user to reduce water consumption to 2-litres per minute and create a “fountain” jet. Up & Down Tap features an ergonomic soft-touch material, Techogel, together with its stainless steel, satin and polished finishes.

CEA Regolo
CEA Regolo

Regolo controls its water temperatures with a slide that moves a long the bar from right to left. One simple movement manages the temperature and water flow while the shape allows for the installation of the product in both horizontal and vertical positions. Designed by Edoardo Gherardi, Regolo is new for 2014.
