Catching the eye is a big part of retailing today – and eye catching is what you always get at shows such as the International Bathroom Exhibition. One such company that, as far as I’m concerned, nailed a recent display is Vitra. Started in Turkey during the Second World War (mainly becuase it was impossible to import items from central Europe) and today fifty percent of the brand’s production is sold abroad through a powerful distribution network that includes over 150 showrooms and 2,000 sales points, in major cities in over 75 countries on five continents.
The products Vitra manufactures, displays and sells today are very good and extremely eye catching – a big part of a new range is the Memoria. Curvy turns are disappearing, lines are becoming more defined and edges are thinner. This infinite material makes cleaning, maintenance and repairs simple and easy. Bathroom sinks are whitened with a special process so that they stay as white and shiny as they were when they were brand new.
With the color diversity made possible by the new materials, it is appealing to those who want to follow current trends in the bathroom and achieve a unique look. Not only does it give users a warm and delightful tactile experience, but it also offers various sizes. The 80-centimeter bowl sinks put an end to the problem of splashing water, but there are also 40-centimeter sinks for more confined spaces. Elimination of the water overflow hole gives the bathroom an integrated, hygienic look.
Vitra basins are sold across Australia through a variety of stockists including Eagles Plumbing and Roger Seller.
