Imagine my surprise (not!) when I discovered this gorgeous product is Italian-made. New from online design retailer Plyroom, the Bellantonio rotating drawer unit is the brain child of furniture designer Luca Villa of Milanese design house Villa Home Collection.
The perfectly-proportioned rotating drawers combine minimalist simplicity with functional storage and show an appreciation for honest materials coupled with smart design.
Bellantonio is constructed from curved natural beech and combines advanced technology with carefully-selected raw materials and solid craftsmanship as well as a “hand-made” hallmark. The choice of form and shape is based on wood-bending technology and influenced by Nordic and Japanese design principles.
The module has five rotating compartments that are supported by one timber totem, which is also the axis of rotation and opening mechanism for each of the drawers. The Bellantonio is supported by hidden castors so it can be moved around the home depending on function.
As it can display open or closed, Bellantonio offers a graceful and intelligent alternative to bathroom storage, display for indoor plants, office drawers, even bedside or in children’s rooms.
Whether your decor is modern, minimalist or an eclectic mix of modern and vintage, the simple aesthetic of Bellantonio is sure to make a stunning statement.
