Valcucine puts it out there

Valcucine has always said they focus on satisfying its customers’ requirements. To do so, the company has thouroughly researched into the use of traditional kitchens to this aim. This has resulted a series of improvements that enhance the users interaction with the whole kitchen “system”. After having revolutionised ergonomics by presenting the Logica System in 1996 with its 80cm depth and its equipped back section, removable jumbo drawers and wall units with Ala and Aerius lift-up doors, Valcucine has innovated kitchen ergonomics once again by presenting the new equipped back panel. This innovative back panel is capable of containing and concealing, when necessary, all the equipment used in the kitchen: the dish-drainer, kitchen scales, small appliances, removable cooking receptacles, bottle-racks, power sockets, a monitor, kitchen-roll holders, the tap, hooks for utensils and even a cooker hood.NewLogicaSystem&ArtematicaVitrumArte (3)_Valc

The ARTEMATICA VITRUM programme  – Designed by Gabriele Centazzo

High technology, formal simplicity, pure and minimalist lines are the main features of Artematica, a very versatile furnishing system available in many different models, each of which is inspired by varoius materials ranging including glass, wood, steel and stone, thus ensuring ultimate customisation. The VITRUM version interprets the qualities of one of the most fascinating and ecological materials ever invented: glass. Valcucine presents the first 100% recyclable glass base unit with a carcass made of frames constructed using recycled drawn aluminium.  The new glass base unit system is easy to assemble and disassemble because it is joined using only mechanical joints. The glass base unit carcass is slim and extremely clean-cut and has been designed to eliminate double side panels with only 10mm thick glass ones.NewLogicaSystem&ArtematicaVitrumArte (7)_Valc

The use of glass allows to reduce the volume of the materials used considerably: this means less waste of resources and energy. Lastly, using a mono-material ensures total recyclability, no need to use glues and no formaldehyde emissions as well as full water, vapour and heat resistance.

THE NEW ARTEMATICA VITRUM GROUND GLASS  – Designed by Valcucine Design Department

Durability means substainability. Handicraft work is instrumental to aesthetic durability because customisation and traditional manufacture contribute to create a bond of affection towards the object which is considered to be precious and unique. Artematica Vitrum’s ground glass originates from a technique that has its roots in Italian handicraft tradition: i.e. the grinding technique that employs a grinder that scratches the glass using various pumice stones. The technique using grinders has evolved in the course of time, also thanks to the invention of numerical control machinery that only skilled handicraftsmen, who have a deep knowledge of the traditional method, can use wisely.NewLogicaSystem&ArtematicaVitrumArte (2)_Valc

THE NEW CARDOSO STONE TOP FINISH

A worktop in Cardoso Stone that protrudes from both sides of the arrangement and offers excellent physical and mechanical wear resistance. Cardoso stone is quarried in Italy, in the mountain chain of the Apuane Alps. The stone working technique has its roots in Italian handicraft tradition. The special cutting technique using a blade and stone and steel dust creates a very textural surface. The integrated sink with a drain is designed by the Valcucine Design Department.
