Last Tuesday I had the pleasure of attending a working lunch at Lincoln Sentry’s Alexandria showroom to hear a presentation from Kim Duffin of Kim Duffin Design/Sublime Architectural Interiors on Trends from Eurocucina and take a sneak peek at some new Lincoln Sentry products which will be hitting our shores in 2015.
Kim’s presentation took in an overview of Eurocucina and specified four main trends:
- Tactile surfaces – that make you want to reach out and feel the texture
- Anticipation – of what would be revealed by the opening of a door or drawer
- Illumination – of not just the space, but the detail
- Purposeful styling – displays that invited visitors to interact and experience
We then heard from Alicia Draper, Program Manager at Lincoln Sentry, who gave us an overview of the Lincoln Sentry stand at AWISA and profiled four new products we can expect to see in 2015.
The Linak D2 Lift System was displayed on the Lincoln Sentry stand at AWISA to show its flexibility across a variety of applications – including both vertical and horizontal movement.
Finista Slim is a flexible, multi-function system for bookshelves, wardrobes, studies, bedrooms and storage units. Manufactured in Italy, this aluminium shelving program provides a variety of design opportunities for storage solutions to maximise every centimetre of space, from floor to ceiling.
Also from Finista, we were introduced to the Go-Line handles which create a streamlined, handle-free look for added architectural detailing.
And last, but certainly not least, we were shown the new Hera Dynamic FR 68-LED lights which is being released to respond to the trend to move away from halogen lighting and greater application of LED lighting. The Dynamic LEDs from Hera are energy efficient and adjustable for brightness and warmth to suit individual room requirements.
