„And the winners are…” – that was the slogan, on 18 January 2015 the Interior Innovation Awards – Best of Best 2015 was awarded in the Flora, Cologne. Overall 15 products have been honored with the Prize by the internationally high-ranking jury – we thought we’d bring just a small selection of some of the winners.

PIA is a compact kitchen designed for small flats, rentals and offices with possible application in retirement and student homes. Doors opened at an angle of 90 to 120° present optimal work area with everything at hand. When closed, PIA looks like a living room cabinet with TV. When opened, it is a fully functional kitchen. It complements contemporary interiors by the selection of decors, materials and high-tech appliances. PIA Ltd EDT offers a model with exterior made of reclaimed solid oak wood, and the model with exterior covered in personalized graphics and illustrations.

Does it have to be standard? No. Ceran Cleartrans® is the new induction cooktop with a complex interplay of a transparent glass-ceramic and self-developed coloured layers and decorative paints. Multiple printing levels on the top and bottom allow 3D-effects in metallic colours. A variety of colours from ivory to black emphasizes the high design standard and enables an individual customer’s design, which can be integrated in modern kitchens. The transparency of the glass ceramic enables multifunction displays and lighting elements with no limits.

Axor Starck V accentuates the vitality and beauty of water because the mixer is transparent, and when in use, it creates a fascinating vortex – an intense experience at the washbasin. Axor Starck V bridges the gap between the functional and emotional aspects of water, transforming it from a basic commodity to a valuable resource. The open, rotatable, and detachable spout offers comfort: flexible installation of the mixer body in combination with the washbasin and easy cleaning in the dishwasher.

The Slimfocus is the sleek result of a quest for aesthetic fluidity, minimum volume and excellent heat performance. A revolution in contemporary fireplaces, the Slimfocus is an assertive presence, a periscope of fire that synthesises a whole philosophy. It is currently available as a suspended, non-pivoting version (for installation in a corner or near a wall). In 2015, it will be available in a version with a balanced flue chimney (for low-energy houses), a pivoting version (for installation in the centre of a room),and a version with a base and a gas version.
