VG New Trend – release from Maison & Objet

"Andy" dining table
“Andy” table

As seen at this years Maison & Objet fair in Paris, this collection of beautiful furniture pieces is a tribute to “flower power” and the designs of Andy Warhol. Logically named “Andy” the collection pays homage to the values of a generation who set out to change the world. In the 1960s flowers were the symbol of a cultural revolution which had radical effects on society and our way of life.

Freedom and departure from convention were celebrated via a social movement which placed great value on a harmonious relationship with nature and took pleasure in challenging the traditional, conservative mindset.

So, too, does this collection of furniture. The “Andy” collection uses flowers as a decorative element to produce highly imaginative and exciting furniture pieces that can be used as individual items or grouped for maximum visual effect.

The “Andy” table (pictured above) is made from brushed oak, treated with natural wax. It measures 160 cm in diameter and is 75 cm high.
