The internationally-renowned ISH fair started earlier this week in Frankfurt, German and finishes tomorrow. Rifra, an Italian company which has branded itself as “Kitchens and Baths direct from Milano”, was one of the exhibitors with a range of products on display.
Rifra’s stand measured 152m2 and featured an elegant atmosphere in keeping with the company’s Italian style. The 2015 collection focuses on products made in Italy which are durable, timeless in design and with an innovative use of materials.
Cement, in particular, featured heavily among the featured products as did clay, or loam, in recognition of this ancient building material. In addition, the company featured featured pieces in raw oak, mixed with clay finishes, for a fabulous aesthetic affect.
Rifra showcased its K.One bathroom furniture with its monobloc aesthetic and dichromatic effect with the 45-degree cuts accentuating the internal corners.
K.Fly, in contrast, is a bathroom furniture range that celebrates delicacy and lightness, and is characterised by an extreme attention to detail. The front and sides are cut at 45-degrees while the top is cut at 30-degrees.
Circle is a freestanding, circular bathtub with a 190cm diameter. The concept is to create a personal spa and, as such, the bath is large enough to accommodate two people. It is made from Corian and can be covered with a cement finish to match other elements of furniture. A matching washbasin is also available.
Steel is a faucet collection with 6 options – all different in shape and design but linked by the use of the same material.
Gap is a collection of washbasins and integrated tops constructed from Corian and featuring a minimalist, sleek design. The waste pipe is eliminated with the water flowing along a split at the back side of the basin. All models have an integrated, removable drain hidden inside the product.
Last, but not least, Smooth is a contemporary collection which includes a freestanding washbasin by LG Hi-Macs, a freestanding bathtub in Cristalplant.
