The winners of the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2015 have been revealed at one of the biggest social and networking events of the industry calendar. The gala black tie event, held at the London Hilton on Park Lane, was split into two halves. The first rewarded some of the best individual kitchen and bathroom designers and the second highlighted the excellence of some of the premium retailers in the UK and Ireland.
The event was hosted by comedian Tim Vine and was sponsored by some of the biggest brands in the industry. Kitchens by J.S. Geddes in Kilmarnock took home a record breaking fifth Kitchen Retailer of the Year trophy, while Bathe & Beyond in Staines-upon-Thames added to its Bathroom Showroom of the Year award from 2014 with the Bathroom Retailer of the Year prize for this year.
The Special Achievement Award went to the KBB National Training Group and the team behind the ground-breaking Kitchen Design Foundation Degree at Bucks New University. “What a fantastic night,” said Andrew Davies, managing editor for kbbreview’s publisher Taylist Media. “It’s my favourite night of the year and it’s a great party but the main thing for me is really highlighting the very best of this industry and what it is capable of. ”
“This industry needs to do more together to compete against other big ticket home purchases and nights like this really show what can happen when quality has a spotlight shone on it.”
A detailed run down of the winners and finalists will be included in a special commemorative supplement in the May issue of kbbreview. A full photo gallery of images from the night can be seen at www.kbbreview.com/awards.
