Victoria + Albert is pleased to introduce the Worcester bath, the latest addition to the company’s New Traditional Collection. A brand new, freestanding, roll-top bath, the Worcester derives its name from the ancient English Cathedral City and a town in the Western Cape of South Africa, which is home to the Victoria + Albert factory.
Along with the existing baths in the New Traditional Collection, the Worcester blends the classic features of a traditional bath with elegant modern lines. With a classically ribbed plinth and rim, the Worcester’s form mirrors the detailing originally found in classic stonework making it suitable for a range of interiors.
Following the traditional design rules of strict symmetry, the Worcester offers a perfect reclining angle which fully supports the body, while all waste pipe work is cleverly hidden within the ribbed plinth. Its double-ended design allows for two bathers at a time, creating a comfortable shared bathing experience.
As with all Victoria + Albert baths and basins, the Worcester is made from QUARRYCAST®, a material rich in Volcanic Limestone™ and completely unique to Victoria + Albert. Featuring a smooth, white glossy surface, it is easily customised with water or oil-based paints. Warm to the touch and reassuringly renewable, the naturally white QUARRYCAST® maintains water temperature for longer thanks to its excellent insulating properties.
