It’s amazing just how well prepared some people are – and equally just as amazing how many aren’t! However our good friends at Antoniolupi have wasted no time in previewing a couple of new products due for release – in September! With the second part of the year “show season” (100% Design in London for one) about to commence, these guys are, I fear, just teasing!
The AGO bathtub together with the harmonious sink were studied to co-exist thanks to a distinctive mark that visually links the products together even if characterized by different functions. The geometrical design outline an inclined profile, which reduces the support to the ground and visually lightens its whole presence guaranteeing an approach without interference.
The AGO bathtub is made in Ceramilux in a matt or high gloss finish. The base has contained dimensions opposed to a welcoming basin and extremely thin border. This line gives the product elegance and lightness. The wide and shallow basin responds to new trends of furniture, the profile is characterized by a slightly rounded edge to emphasize the design of the product and its lightness.
It seems the free standing bath is a part of the modern day bathroom (as written about in an excellent piece by Minosa back in March 2013) – large or small. I can’t wait to see many more later in the year – and at I Salone in April 2016.
