A spacious loft, located in the Alto Adige mountains in Brunico, Italy houses an Abimis kitchen made entirely from stainless steel. The environment oozes metropolitan style with a soft, pictorial feel thanks to the large windows that frame the natural panorama of the surrounding Val Pusteria.
Featured is the unique Ego kitchen from Abimis which is the star of the domestic space in which it is fitted.
The design is true to Abimis’ philosophy to focus on optimising the cook’s tasks and features careful placement of three, large, steel blocks – one for preparation and washing up, one for cooking, and one for storing – all custom-made to measure. Because the company specialises in custom-made components, it also takes care of delivery and installation of all its kitchens.
Abimis says its focus is on customisation because its kitchens are designed and built to take into account the tastes, styles and ergonomic characteristics of its end users – its customers. The company says its kitchens “are about sharing the professional experience of architects, designers, craftsmen and Abimis installers, as well as getting genuinely involved in the design, to add value to the ideas and optimise the creative organisation of the space”.
The kitchens are made from extra-thick AISI 304 steel (which is hand-finished) and render steel which the company says is the irreplaceable component to achieve quality results in terms of styling impact, as well as performance.
A deeper than standard worktop (up to 90 cm) makes movements easier, a built-in worktop and flush-fit hinged doors (designed for easier cleaning), the absence of sharp edges and a 20cm recessed plinth for more foot room are just some of the many details which were designed specifically to suit the needs of the cook in this environment.
