LooLedge by Axis Design

LooLedge by Axis Design is a concept product based around solving the problem of what to do with your phone when you visit the bathroom. If you’re like most of the population and keep your phone in your pocket it can be a real conundrum working out what to do with your phone while you are taking care of business.

Looledge mainAxis Design has cleverly come up with patent-pending LooLedge which is being funded via a KickStarter campaign to produce the first prototype of what is hoped will be many units.

LooLedge provides a space to rest your smartphone when it is not in use. The solution merges functionality with the traditional toilet paper holder and adds a twist of modern style and flair. Four design options are available:

Crisp, architectural inspired direction with a brushed nickel finish.

The plan is, once funded, tooling will be started with the supplier and it’s expected the tooling development and sampling process will take approximately 6 months. During this time the packaging design will be finalised. Mass production will take 2 months and shipping to the company’s facility via sea freight is the final month. See the anticipated timeline below.

Do you have any feedback for the designers? Would this work in a residential setting?
