Remer Rubinetterie Touch

Remer Rubineterrie introduces a tap with an innovative “Touch Me” technology which allows the user to control the tap using a simple touch.

Activation and deactivation of the water flow can be achieved simply by making direct skin contact with the mixer. If the tap is turned on but not touched again, it will automatically stop after a set period of time to save water.

The innovation is particularly useful for the kitchen where users often have wet or dirty hands from food preparation or cleaning up. The touch activation can come from a finger or hand, but also from a forearm, wrist or elbow.

This patented technology was developed by the Italian company S.T.S.R Technical Development and Research Department – Electronics and has been utilised by Remer Rubinetterie in this new collection of mixers. The mixers are also available with a standard lever if required.

In particular, the technology ensures a higher level of hygiene in the kitchen and reduces cleaning – if you can use a clean part of your arm to turn on the tap, you don’t also need to wipe down the tap handle or worry that bacteria will congregate on the handle.

No news yet on whether the S.T.S.R. technology will make it Down Under but we’ll keep our eyes open.
