The engineering process for AEON™ takes a little more time and expense, however, the end result is a measurably harder and stronger material. Two sizes of aluminium particle in the surface coat result in a laminate that is 3 to 5 times more durable than standard, with a smooth finish on which objects can glide across, as if they were on ball bearings.
Wilsonart® passes the material through this ‘bathing’ process twice to ensure equal coverage of the particles. AEON™ Enhanced Performance Laminate is also available in a series of High-Definition [HD] finishes, which takes high pressure laminate to a whole new level. Gloss and satin, rough and smooth, HD integrates the best of everything to create a truly unique texture and optical effect.
