One kitchen with two different uses is how the company describes the new K-In and K-Out by Rossana with its suspended base unit, raised off the floor thanks to an asymmetrical pedestal in burnished steel.
K-In and K-Out, designed by Massimo Castagna, is a single-range system integrated into the entire Rossana collection and features one kitchen and one aesthetic, yet two different uses and two specific systems of construction. This new Indoor/Outdoor kitchen features a free-standing island unit, suspended on a minimal base, with strong overhands and unexpected functions.
K-In and K-Out by Rossana appears as a single, completely-closed block from which mobile planes extend laterally and longitudinally, changing its volume. By sliding the two elements one reveals work/snack surfaces that can be used for both versions.
To differentiate from the indoor version, the outdoor version is created entirely in steel with aluminum-structure doors with a thin stone cladding. The work surfaces, for which the same construction criteria apply, slide on hidden guides, ensuring a completely hermetic weatherproof outer closure.
There are several variants and finishes designed for K-In and K-Out including a natural grey stone – rough and with a strong personality – with irregular veins in darker shades of grey to black. But the range is also available in heat-treated elm, swamp oak and swamp elm (in small quantities).
Rossana, as a brand, does not divide its kitchens into separate models but rather designs a range of products capable of coexisting with each other depending on the needs of the project. The intelligent mix between all the components available gives the customer infinite tailor-made design possibilities for total customisation.
