At this year’s FTK (Future Technology for the Kitchen) held in Milan as part of iSalone we were interested to see a collection of new rangehoods from Best Spa. Best was founded in 1976 and joined the American group Nortek Inc in 1995. Today Best has two production sites – one in Italy and the other in Poland as well as a sales office in Germany and distributors worldwide.
Frame
Frame draws inspiration from the idea of a mirror in the kitchen – a window on the world which opens right on your cooking surface. Fumes and odours disappear into a magic mirror which brings a motionless beauty to the kitchen.
Crown
Originally released in 1995, the K290 project was recognised as an innovation with creativity and technology coming together in perfect combination. In 2016, the Crown model incorporates the key elements of the “skirt” of the K290 and is manufactured in stainless steel with a truncated cone in a variety of colours to create an original and exclusive look.
Puddy
The Puddy is in a baroque-style with its circular concept made up of curves and sharp corners, inside and out, light and shadow conveying a dynamic finish. The design makes reference to Caravaggio’s draperies and to Bernini’s sublime and soft sculptures.
Hostaria
With a reassuring warmth, the vintage style of Hostaria reference the strong aesthetic of an industrial finish. It is composed of materials and finishes that belong visually to the past but have been rediscovered and renewed to become essentially modern.
Windy
A minimalised and refined design combines with advanced ventilation technology and a great choice of materials to ensure Windy seamlessly integrates into any type of kitchen. Low energy consumption LED surface-mounted lights enhance its defined and simple shape while the square-cut edges and central functional backlit glass ensure Windy is the perfect combination of linear style and modern technology.
