Today’s post is a pictorial walk through the latest collection from Wallpepper – The City. This collection celebrates the variety of life in various cities throughout the world in a wallpaper format.
Wallpepper has worked with various artists to create the range you see here. Maurizio Galimberti, an artist who works with the image decomposition, creates real photographic mosaics representing some of the most famous world capitals corners. “Arc de Triomphe” and “Guggenheim” become very personal interpretations of urban monuments while “Yellow Dance” recreates the traditional traffic moment in New York in a kaleidoscope polaroid.
Saverio Lombardi Vallauri shows some of the most published architectures: the sculptural
brick masses of Cymbalista Synagogue by Mario Botta are the main characters of the “Tel Aviv # 01” subject while the titanium Gehry’s facades on Lou Ruvo Center live in “Las Vegas # 03” subject.
The wonder of the city majesty is, the leitmotiv of the Guido Scarabottolo graphic: “Downtown” is a drawing that lists all the elements contained in the contemporary urban
town, almost futuristic: from the animals to the coexistence of different cultures, including a
curious alien spacecraft.
Also Alessandra Scandella, as Guido Crepax, consider architecture as an essential component of their works, as background for the social activities of independent female figures.
From New York to Rio de Janeiro, without mentioning Paris, Tel Aviv, Berlin or Milan: the
WallPepper® cards are a very personal guide of the world territories that give to any location
the charm of dreams.
