Stone Seminars in Sydney6.45 – 7.20 pm The World’s Newest Headland – Barangaroo
Ron Powell, Architect Former manager, Minister’s Stone Conservation Program & Advisor to the Barangaroo Delivery Authority

Paul Keating’s Barangaroo Headland Team had a vision. The former container terminal should be replaced with a sandstone foreshore. The quarried away headland has been recreated in a naturalistic form to ‘converse’ with its neighbouring Sydney harbour headlands like Ball’s Head.

The government’s Minister’s Stone Program provided the genesis for the unique, world acclaimed process. Architect Ron Powell will provide an overview of this significant project.
