Last week saw the official launch of Sensa® by Cosentino – the company’s first granite surface – in Australia. Sensa® by Cosentino is made from high quality natural granite and features a revolutionary protective treatment that provides high stain resistance. The new series of eight exotic granites is now available in the Australian market.
Sensa® by Cosentino is revolutionary to the granite market due to its exclusive stain protection, Senguard NK. Where normally a porous material absorbs liquids, reducing its lifespan, this treatment alters the surface tension of granite, making it smaller than that of liquid and repelling, rather than absorbing, liquid particles. The high resistance to stains means there is no need for daily maintenance.
The Senguard NK treatment penetrates the surface of the stone, becoming integrated by chemical bonding and resulting in an invisible protection that allows the Sensa surface to breathe. In addition, the formula is also resistant to UV radiation, thus avoiding any colour change due to solar radiation.
Each slab is unique because of the exclusive veining by the hand of Mother Nature. The first eight exotic granites available are Black Beauty, Glacial Blue, Orinoco, Colonial White, Indian Black, Ice Blue, Moak Black and Bianco Anticoare.
Black Beauty (polished) features a textured finisht hat perfectly combines the most exotic gloss and matte to provide a deep black granite with random white veining.
Glacial Blue features a polished texture and a silver hue that combine to make a crystalline appearance.
Orinoco offers an incomparable aesthetic for its excellence in design and random wild veins – white, gold and copper veins are interrupted by silver minerals which stand out against an intense black background.
Colonial White, with its polished finish, is an Indian granite with a white background that is contrasted with round accumulations of various sizes that stand out for their dark red colour.
Indian Black offers a dark and intense granite with a black background interspersed occasionally with different and captivating clear veins – almost crystalline – which further enrich the aesthetics of the stone.
Ice Blue has a polished texture with a striking white background. The black enclaves, together with cream or tan veins, offer a seductive and wild design in its final appearance.
Moak Black has a suede finish that creates an intense matte hue for an impressive result that combines harmony, uniqueness and a beautiful finish.
Bianco Antico is a combination of clear, grey and brown backgrounds and, with its polished texture, creates a colour composition of an unmatched exotic nature.
