This year, Hailo at Interzum will present new products in the areas of smart waste separation and organiser systems. The flourishing family-owned company Hailo is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
In this anniversary year, Hailo will more than live up to its name for innovation and high quality standards. The company is not only developing existing products further but will also launch some new products at the Interzum in Hall 7.1 at Stand A040 that are going to make life at home even more comfortable and nicer. One of the areas Hailo is addressing is the “smart home”.
This year, the company is focusing primarily on the laundry area: with a comprehensive, complete utility room and laundry system. The prototype was presented for the first time in 2016 and elicited much interest. In Cologne, Hailo will launch a retail version that has been improved with further additional features. Units that can be built-in offer storage space for clothing, laundry utensils, clothes peg containers and storage containers for other odds and ends, and also a built-in ironing board. These features disappear behind doors, an easy way to make the room look tidy.
The pantry box continues to be another key product. The pantry box has already won the iF DESIGN AWARD, Red Dot Award and a Focus Open, all with good reason. It was developed by Hailo for the storage of food and combines a space-saving solution in a drawer with a practical layout and easy access to, for example, bread or vegetables. We first saw the pantry box at Interzum 2015 and we covered it here.
Beyond its organiser systems, Hailo also addresses the issue of smart waste separation; the company will introduce various new products and extensions in this area at the trade fair so it will be very interesting to see what’s on display.
Hailo has been refining the process of transforming great ideas into trendsetting products since the company was established in 1947. Today, the company markets its products in 80 countries throughout the world. Here, the key to success is continuity along with a focus on core competencies in all business divisions. Hailo’s consumer goods division offers the deepest and broadest range of metal stand waste bins and is Europe’s market leader in terms of climbing equipment. The other business divisions include Fitted Kitchens Technology and Professional Climbing Technology and – since 2003 – the commercial waste collectors division, Hailo Commercial.
