With the show concluded for another year, let’s take a closer look at Laminam at Marmomac where the company unveiled new textures for its ceramic slabs. For the fifth consecutive year the company has showcased its innovations in revolutionary ceramic slabs and avant-garde manufacturing processes.
In total, the company released nine new finishes, two textures to expand the range and one surface with an increased thickness to 20mm.
The undisputed star of the new releases was the 12mm thick slab measuring 1620x3240mm, which is aimed at the world of interior design and is ideal for horizontal indoor and outdoor surfaces, such as tables, bathroom vanity units and kitchen worktops. Launched just 2 years ago, these ceramic surfaces have already won a significant share of the market and seen exponential growth in demand thanks to their excellent technical and aesthetic properties. The Laminam surface is hygienic, anti-bacterial, scratch and stain-resistant, and is available in a wide range of textures, now boosted with the addition of 12 novelities which were all displayed at the exhibition booth at the show.
Cava, the top-selling series that magnifies the natural veining of marble and reproduces stone surfaces, is expanded with nine new finishes that offer striking visual effects for a true wow factor.
The 1620x3240x12mm series now offers the world of interior design stylish new options, with the addition of two finishes from the latest series in the 3mm thick/1000×3000 mm size. Seta – Liquorice and Gris, inspired by silk, one of the world’s oldest and finest fabrics.
Lastly, Bianco Assoluto, the pristine white finish of the Tinta Unita series in the 1620x3240mm size, measuring 5.6 and12 mm thick, was presented in a new 20mm thick version that is even more opulent, with enhanced performance.
In addition to their innate hygiene, Laminam ceramic slabs do not release elements in solution and are therefore entirely suitable for contact with foodstuffs, and are resistant to:
- scratches and deep abrasion
- mildew and fungi
- stains, including tough stains like wine, coffee, lemon and olive oil
- chemical products: acids, alkalis, solvents and disinfectants do not cause any alteration to the slabs
- UV light (the chromatic properties remain unaffected by exposure to sunlight)
- low and high temperatures (frost-resistant material)
- humidity (no change in size occurs)
