A stunning display from Antolini at Marmomac 2017 saw the merging of nature and technology with a range of designs that celebrate beauty. These innovative, new designs included an exclusive collection of materials made in collaboration with the Mutaforma brand.
The Stratospherica collection, designed by Alessandro La Spada, sees the beauty of natural stone merging with the minute picotesserae of glass. Conceived by Antolini in collaboration with Mutaforma – the Milanese brand which works on augmented materials thanks to the use of nanoparticle technology which dramatically transforms the appearance of glass – Stratospherica was displayed in “White Tiger” and “Leopard” versions.
Here, the silhouettes of a tiger and a leopard, in all their pride and elegance, stand out in the space exalting the expressive power of this original blend of Antolini stone and Mutaforma glass.
Two special areas (by Alessandro La Spada) serve as a backdrop to the Antolini setting, featuring an area for bathing/wellness and a kitchen setting. In the bathroom area, the walls feature Fusion Wow “Light” (polished) with a matching wash basin – also in Fusion Wow “Light” (polished finish and leather). The floor is in White Lasa Covelano “Vena Oro” (polished finish).
The ambiance of the kitchen area conveys the strength and aesthetic value of two materials – Taj Mahal and Quartzite Cielo. The treatment of the surfaces creates soft, homogeneous shades that showcase the brilliance of the stone.
Fusion Wow “Light”
Fusion Wow “Light” is a quartzite that is perfect for adorning the most fascinating projects. This wonderful natural stone, unique in its colours and stunning veining, is now offered in a world exclusive by Antolini. The shades of green spread like gentle waves, or a field blown by the wind, a clear echo of the natural world. The new product from Antolini can be customised with any finish.
Bianco Lasa/Covelano “Vena Oro”
This is the real essence of marble: uniform, compact, with crystalline fine grain. The marble Bianco Lasa/Covelano, from the Alps of Val Venosta, is one of the most valuable in the world. Designers appreciate its uniform appearance and the characteristic translucent white background colour with light shading. It takes on a warm and even more precious tone in the Vena Oro type.
Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal reflects all the splendour and monumental beauty of the Indian architectural work to which its name pays homage. Like a jewel, the Taj Mahal is pink in the morning, milky white in the evening and sparkles in the moonlight. In the same way, the natural Taj Mahal stone offered by Antolini captures the light and lends itself to classical and modern elegant interpretations.
Quartzite Cielo
Before the boundless expanses of grains of white sand, the sea is choppy due to the arrival of a sudden storm while, slowly, the sky turns bluish grey streaked with silver brushstrokes of grey and the golden glow of the lightnings: these are the images evoked by Quartzite Cielo, a crystalline and extremely evocative material offered by Antolini.
