ILVE’s take on the 2018 Pantone Colour of the year

The Pantone Colour Institute has named Ultra Violet as the colour to be on everyone’s lips for the next 12 months and ILVE’s iconic freestanding oven range has welcomed the daring colour into its customisable oven collections.

Pantone ColourPantone’s 2017 colour forecast was spot on, predicting early that earthy hues and softer pops of colour would be employed in the most bold and brave ways. Greenery in 2017 and Serenity and Rose Quartz in 2016 quickly appeared in fashion catwalks, home decor and even films and gracefully began a world-known trend. The heritage green and millennial pink fad rapidly found its place throughout the home. From large statement pieces like baths, wall art and sofas to small colour nods in cushions, towels and curtains, Pantone’s colour forecast for 2016/17 was fully embraced.

2018’s colour is a nod to 1970s glamour, although can also be associated with calm and meditative environments. According to Pantone, “A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.”

Pantone ColourILVE’s Ultra Violet Freestanding Oven, no doubt will turn heads as it embraces the core of this colour trend. While Ultra Violet may seem unconventional and possibly risky as a statement piece, it can sit perfectly in a modern kitchen space. An Ultra Violet ILVE Freestanding Oven will give the kitchen a serene feel, without darkening the space, unlike previous bold colour trends.

The colour harmonises perfectly with shades of white, black, and even millennial pink, which can all easily be infused into kitchen design, in simpler pieces. The Ultra Violet colour also sits along nicely with blues and reds, as seen in previous Pantone colour trends.

Pantone ColourCustom built, in colour and function, the freestanding oven range from ILVE includes the Quadra, Majestic and Nostalgie series. The Quadra has a selection of five cooking surface combinations and seven sizes. The equally popular, Majestic series features the same cooktop offered in the ILVE Quadra range, with added features including a space saving storage drawer for kitchen essentials and a dual control WOK burner. On the other hand, there is the classic looking Nostalgie oven series, which channels a rustic country style whilst delivering the superb performance ILVE is known for.

The Year of the Ultra Violet colour is fast approaching and soon enough, this colour will be everywhere, starting with the kitchen. For more information on the Quadra, Majestic and Nostalgie customisable series from ILVE visit https://ilve.com.au/
