The Ecopave permeable paver is a small format segmental concrete paver designed for use in residential, multi-residential and commercial paving applications where sustainable water management must be considered. When laid, Ecopave has small voids in the surface that allow water to infiltrate back through the ground, reducing stormwater runoff.
Ecopave is available in an 50mm thickness for residential applications and an 80mm version for commercial and industrial applications with both versions capable of being machine laid. Using an environmentally friendly, eco permeable paver allows surface water runoff to infiltrate through the pavement surface, through the sub base below where it can be harvested or more commonly, returned to the natural water table at a controlled rate. This is as opposed to hitting the impervious surface, running into gutters and causing downstream problems like pollution and flooding.
“Permeable paving is an essential choice if a driveway runs down to the house. Adbri Masonry’s Ecopave is an ideal solution for creating a sustainable driveway and is low maintenance as the pavers expand and contract within the seasons, so they’re less likely to crack,” says Adbri Masonry brand ambassador, Jason Hodges.
The Ecopave permeable paver is suitable for footpaths, carparks and driveways, streetscapes, patios, outdoor showers and commercial applications. It is a Type C interlocking paver available in a modern shape and in a selection of smooth, honed or shotblasted textures.
