Vision by Snaidero and Pininfarina Design

Showcased at last month’s Eurocucina in Milan, this is the beautiful Vision by Snaidero and Pininfarina Design with its fluid lines evoking and emotional response and a design that focuses on ergonomics and functionality.

Vision by SnaideroThe kitchen’s soft outline serves to enhance the flow between perfect geometry and symmetry which the company describes as “evoking a primordial image of shelter”. The design encapsulates the trend towards fluid domestic spaces, with surfaces that flow and materials that immediately convey a sense of purity and sensuousness.

Vision by SnaideroThe interaction between volumes and surfaces finds its unquestionable distinctive mark in the Vision design. From the distinct geometry of the door with integrated profile-handle to the interplay of features that creates a strong identity which adds to, rather than compromises, functionality. This special relationship between volume and surface leads to a design that is simple to decipher and easy to recognise whether a “simple” linear kitchen, an island composition or anything else in between.

Vision by SnaideroOnce again, Pininfarina applies the wonder of form to outstanding function. A lightness is conveyed by the unique design of the base units for islands and peninsulas, a refined element developed by craftsmen in stratified and shaped solid ash wood. The base unit is available in walnut-stained ash wood and in stainless steel. In addition to the advanced technology used in its construction, it features an integrated silicone LED strip, providing extraordinary visual appeal. The hood at the centre of the room also features the distinctive mark of the entire design. The tangential extractor hood is combined with a wooden shelf, in keeping with the design of the base unit of the island counter.

The use of cupboards with diagonal doors provides design continuity as well as flexible open storage in customised materials and finishes. An authentic solution with an open cupboard (with cross-brushed stainless steel back panel) is perfectly in keeping with
the overall design of the kitchen.

Vision by SnaideroThe door surfaces doors are treated with a new metalescent lacquer, which has a special, elegant impact. This finish was created to reproduce the visual effect of metallic surfaces, while ensuring the tactile warmth of a lacquered finish. It also allows metals to be “bent” to a wide variety of three-dimensional forms. Four coats of finish are applied to the surface to obtain the metalescent effect.
