Kitchen Designer of the Year NSW

The judges were wowed by this daring design, and commended the designer on an exceptional entry. The well thought out planning resulted in a technically outstanding design, with the space accommodating all of the clients’ practical needs and aesthetic desires. The judges loved the sculptural form of the uniquely crafted island, and admired the careful balance of colour and texture in the finishes of the kitchen as a whole.

The designer paid great attention to the existing architectural elements of this home, and cleverly translated the federation details in to a stylish and modern design. Seeking inspiration from the colours indicative of this era of home, the designer reinvented the palette with style and grace. Theatrical lighting finished the scene, making the design a winner!

Lime-washed oak, warm white cabinetry and white matt handmade tiles combine to create a lovely light and airy feel to this perfectly planned kitchen. The designer expertly finished the space with just the right amount of a luscious lilac-hinted pink. The hue lifts the scheme and creates a stunning focal point in this very refined and well-designed kitchen.

A spectacular architectural home with angles aplenty proved a great inspiration to this designer. The show-stopping island is a geometric masterpiece: with clever compound cuts clad in a dramatic Pietra Grey stone, the angular façade is simply striking. Combined with well thought out space planning and fabulous finishes, the kitchen is a stand-out winner.
Bathroom Designer of the Year NSW

The judges appreciated the clever combination of textures, patterns and lighting in this lovely large bathroom. The layering of finishes injected warmth and life into an achromatic scheme, and gave the room the spa-like ambiance desired by the client. They commended the designer on a well-planned space, in which an oversized, freestanding bath was positioned to be central to the design without being overwhelming.

The designer had big ambitions for this small space, and with some ‘smoke and mirrors’ magic, he delivered! Marble-look honed tiles add depth and drama, creating a beautiful backdrop for the gently curved, warmly-toned timber cabinetry. The soft geometry is duplicated in the rounded wall cabinets, carved marble basins and oval-shaped handles. Smoky mirrors, black accessories and a striking almost-black ceiling finish the space with style.

An achromatic colour scheme was given plenty of life in this large bathroom design entry, with the designer skilfully applying a sensitive combination of textures, patterns and lighting to add interest and appeal. The considered layout of the space ensured that the oversized, freestanding bath maintained its position as the hero of this spa-like sanctuary.
