The new Corian Ultraplane

An intrinsic understanding of the intimacy of design is the inspiration behind the new Corian Ultraplane, a collaboration between Corian® and multi-award-winning designer Mark Gacesa.

The new Corian UltraplaneThe new Corian Ultraplane is the most recent addition to the suite of Corian® bathroom solutions for the commercial and residential sectors. The Ultraplane has an 80-degree aspect ratio that allows the basin to angle from ground or wall, bringing an oasis of wellness and refinement irrespective of any spatial constraints.

The new Corian UltraplaneAn integrated LED lighting system that allows the waterplane section to illuminate and substantially elevates its design identity. Adding value back into design freedom, expanding the possibilities for sculptural and expressive design no matter the space restraints.

Like the rest of the Corian® bathroom portfolio, the Ultraplane harnesses the technical and aesthetic aspects of the Corian® high-tech solid surface, offering a solution that does not compromise on strong, sculptural design possibilities or the kind of endurance and convenience required of high-traffic washbasins.

The new Corian UltraplaneWater spills from a small gap at the back of the vessel to emphasise the appealing design features of the basin for a visually and spatially neater and more seamless solution. All systems (like pipes and plumbing) are contained within the Ultraplane. It’s versatile and will suit anything from restaurant and bars to smaller residential bathrooms.

Unconventional yet stylish and quirky with a powerful presence, the angles create an illusion that the water is escaping from a level plane. The clean lines and elegant shallow surface of the Ultraplane offers a striking and luxurious alternative to a standard wall basin or floor pedestal – a sophisticated feature for any modern bathroom, powder room or washroom.

With over 30 years in the industry, Mark Gacesa is a multi-award winning, university qualified Architectural Interior Designer based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and the Creative Design Director of Ultraspace, a multi-disciplined design studio that has both commercial and residential clientele stretching the East Coast of Australia, Los Angeles and Palm Springs.

Being a trend setter rather than a trend follower, Mark’s uniquely glamorous, high-end project work consistently features innovative use of materials, extensive use of customisation, unsurpassed attention to detail and a strong love for intricate lighting that not only meets his client’s expectations, but helps take them on a journey they could not have imagined.
