antoniolupi presents SHAPEWAY at the “Brand & Stone” exhibition held at this year’s Marmomac in Verona, Italy last month.
Set up inside The Italian Stone Theater, “Brand & Stone” curated by Danilo Di Michele and Giorgio Canale is an event with the aim of bringing the most designers and big brands closer to stone materials, helping them overcome commercial or technical difficulties. The exhibition has, in fact, the aim of actively involving designer companies and renowned designers that are distinguished internationally to a meeting that starts from a study of the matter and creates new opportunities for collaboration and possible business developments. With the support of the best Italian stone companies that are exhibiting at Marmomac, each brand has created new projects or reinterpreted in stone, iconic pieces of its collection, testifying that marble and granite are indispensable and irreplaceable materials in the world of design and architecture yesterday, today and tomorrow.
In this context, antoniolupi presented the SHAPEWAY project designed by architect Carlo Colombo and carried out by the Veronese company TESTI GROUP.
Soft, pure and natural geometric shapes that alternate and intersect with rigorous cuts. A balance that comes from the play of shapes, able to enhance the material and sculptural beauty of marble.
The Shapeway collection, thanks to its excavated profile, transforms the archetype of the bathtub and sink into sculptural and dynamic objects, able to interact with the surrounding environment and to change according to the observation point.
Although antoniolupi began by producing exclusively bathroom accessories and mirrors, its product line now embraces the entire living space, thanks to the collaboration with established designers, such as Carlo Colombo, Nevio Tellatin, Riccardo Fattori, Mauro Carlesi, Domenico de Palo and Paolo Armenise.
